TL:DR Instead of connecting to your regular Wi-Fi Internet, maybe try logging into Origin using a different internet source, e.g. your mobile phone’s hotspot or your friend’s internet. It worked for me. Make sure to check the ‘Keep me signed in’ box when logging in, so that you can log in again when you are using your own Internet. The other day I decided to change the username of my EA Origin account because I felt like it was a suitable time for a gamertag change hahaha. Anyway, I opened up Origin, went to my profile and clicked on Edit My Profile. It brought me to the internet browser and it opened up my profile details on EA.com. I tried out some unique names and soon after, I decided on a new one. Cool. I did some other things after that and came back to Origin a few hours later.
